Viking Mountain Odyssey Players
When you play our game, we collect specific data to provide a seamless, synchronized, and secure experience across your devices:
Authentication Data: We utilize Google Play Games and standard Google Authentication to securely log you into the game. We process your unique user ID and associated authentication tokens to link your game progress to your account.
Cloud Save & Gameplay Data: To synchronize your progress, we store your game state on firebase secure servers. This includes your highest altitude reached, in-game currency balance, quest progression, ad-watching metrics, and your inventory of cosmetic items (such as boards, wings, and capes).
Analytics: We use Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage data, crash reports, and performance metrics to help us balance the game economy and fix bugs.
Security & Anti-Spam: We utilize Firebase App Check and Google reCAPTCHA v3 to verify that requests to our database are originating from legitimate game clients and not automated bots. This process collects basic device and browser information.
Who We Share Your Data With
We do not sell your personal data. We share your data only with specific, trusted third-party service providers necessary to operate the website and the game:
Google Cloud & Firebase: Used for securely hosting our database, authenticating users, and processing game analytics.
Google AdMob: We serve advertisements through Google AdMob to fund game rewards and free gameplay. AdMob may collect and use your device’s advertising ID and basic usage data to analyze ad performance. For players flagged as minors, personalized tracking is disabled. You can view their privacy practices here: Google Privacy & Terms.
Public Leaderboards: If you participate in competitive gameplay, your display name and highest scores will be visible to other players on our global, monthly, and weekly leaderboards.
Where Your Data is Sent
Data collected through the website and game is stored and processed on secure servers hosted by Google (Firebase and Firestore) located in the United States and other global regions.
How Long We Retain Your Data
Website Data: If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely.
Game Data & Deletion Policy: Your Viking Mountain Odyssey cloud save data, inventory, and progression are retained indefinitely to allow you to restore progress across devices.
How to Exercise Your Rights & Account Deletion
The 30-Day Grace Period: Once you request deletion inside the game app, your account will enter a 30-day grace period. Your data will remain intact but queued for removal. You can cancel this request at any time during the 30 days simply by logging back into the game app.
Permanent Removal: If you do not cancel the request within 30 days, all of your cloud saves, inventory, leaderboard scores, and personal identifiers will be permanently and irreversibly deleted from our systems.

Maryland Digital Goods Disclosure (License vs. Ownership)
In compliance with state consumer disclosures, including Maryland law, please be advised of the nature of your in-game purchases:
Important Notice on In-Game Content: When you purchase or acquire in-game currency (Oroborus Coins), cosmetics (such as boards, wings, or capes), or any other digital items within Viking Mountain Odyssey, you are not buying permanent ownership of these digital goods. Instead, Kingdom of Games LLC grants you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable, and non-transferable license to use these virtual assets strictly within the game client. This license is subject to the active life of the game and our terms of service.
Children’s Privacy & Age Gating
Data Protection for Minors: We do not knowingly collect, store, or process personal data from children under the age of 16 without appropriate settings.
In-Game Age Verification: The game utilizes a neutral age-screening process upon setup. If a user identifies as under the age of 16, we automatically restrict the collection of persistent device identifiers and ensure that any advertisements served via Google AdMob are strictly non-personalized and compliant with global privacy laws, including the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
In-Game Themes: While the game includes fantasy elements such as collecting “brews” for gameplay mechanics, the game does not promote, depict, or encourage the consumption of real-world alcohol or controlled substances.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the “Last Updated” date at the top of this policy.
For significant changes, we may also provide an in-game alert. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
